2010 - New Coalition with BVI Government!
After the founder of Reef Check International, Dr. Gregor Hodgson, visited us in the B.V.I., we were able to forge a new, cooperative relationship with 3 government bodies:
* Conservation and Fisheries Department
* National Parks Trust
* BVI Tourist Board
New Environmental Group Formed
We are pleased to report that two BVI environmental organizations have joined forces. The newly-formed "Virgin Islands Environmental Council" is made up of the Fisherpersons and Concerned Citizens for the Protection of Beef Island (FCCPBI) and the BVI Heritage Conservation Group.
